Setbacks are not the end...
There’s no clean way to say this, so we’re just going to say it.
What happened to SoCal Rhythm was rough.
We were hit hard. Gear was taken (a LOT of it). Most of it was never recovered. Some of the people responsible are still out there. On top of that, working through insurance turned into a long, frustrating process that made it difficult to move forward quickly.
At the same time, we were still carrying the weight of a physical location. With everything going on, it became clear that keeping the lease wasn’t sustainable.
So we made the call to step back.
That decision had ripple effects. Without a brick-and-mortar store, we lost access to some of our suppliers. Relationships changed. Opportunities shifted. It wasn’t just one hit—it was several, all at once.
But here’s the part that matters:
We’re still here.
We took the time to regroup, to rethink what SoCal Rhythm needs to be, and to build a path forward that’s stronger and more focused.
We’re bringing the online store back.
It’s going to be leaner. More intentional. Built around gear we believe in and a way of doing business that makes sense long-term.
This isn’t the same version of SoCal Rhythm as before.
It’s a better one.
To everyone who has supported us, reached out, or stuck with us through all of this—thank you. That support matters more than you probably realize.
We’re moving forward.
And we’re not done yet.
